World VATSIM Day Aug 8th 2010

World Vatsim Day celebrates the day that VATSIM came to fruition, the day it all started, the day set aside to commemorate the uniqueness of VATSIM.

So lets celebrate World Vatsim Day Aug 8th 2010, all you have to do is fly, control or both. The aim is to get as many of the community online as possible to participate in the event. This is the most open ended and loosely planned event in the whole VATSIM Calendar. For full details please visit the Vatsim Homepage .

Aircraft Conversion Tutorial

Good Afternoon,

Today I will be putting up a tutorial teaching you how to use your favourite FS9 aircraft in FSX. Before I begin though there are several items I must get out of the way:

1. Any modification work undertaken using this tutorial is AT YOUR OWN RISK. Always back-up work and any files being used before starting. Under no circumstances, am I responsible for any form of damage caused through using this tutorial.

2. Any aircraft created using this tutorialare not to be redistributed without the consent of the original author of those files. This tutorial is for your own private use only. This tutorial is to be used for freeware files only.

3. You may find yourself unable to access or modify some of the file's mentioned in this tutorial. If you are having trouble accessing any files make sure you are opening files as the administrator or alternatively right click on the FSX folder, open properties and edit the security to give your user full control rights. This should allow you to access and edit any .cfg file.

Any further additions or edits will be made to this original post.

Thank you and I hope you find it useful.
